Management Communication
How improved management communication can help your business

Management CommunicationThe establishment of a powerful management communication system provides you with a framework to run, control and develop your business.

Efficient communication is at the heart of good management and it is a crucial tool when:

•    motivating your team
•    coaching your managers
•    training your people
•    conducting appraisals and providing feedback

Many studies have shown that the actual words used in communication comprise only about 10% of the message that is received.  Tone of voice constitutes 30-40% and the rest, the majority of the message, comes via body language.  Email, the commonest form of business communication, is only the words and can thus potentially convey only 10% of the message!  No tone of voice is communicated; no body language, emoticons notwithstanding.  The tone of voice applied to an email by the recipient is largely controlled by the state of mind of the recipient when they read it – and that can be a problem.

To communicate effectively within a business environment, to ensure that the message received is the one that you wanted to send, requires a little thought.  Don't just bash out an email and hit SEND.  For example:

•    Who is the communication with?
•    Why do you need to communicate with them?
•    What message do you want them to receive?
•    What do you want them to do?
•    When do you need them to act?
•    How are you going to communicate your message?

The benefits of a good management communication system include:

•    tighter control of processes and activities
•    faster delivery of milestones
•    increased profits

We can analyse your existing processes for management communication and recommend a management system appropriate to your business.

This may be a bespoke system developed to utilise the strengths that you have within your team or one of the recognised International Standards.

Whatever works best for you.
